He landed three 3-pointers in the third quarter and finished the game with 18 points.

Nick Young gave the best performance yet during his fifth game with the Clippers with 16 points that included a sweet reverse layup that saw the guard spinning 360-degrees for Lob City’s last basket of the game. Chris Paul finished with 19 points and 13 assists while Blake Griffin played great with 20 points, 10 rebounds and even five assists. The Clippers concentrated more of defense, free throws and the “little stuff,” which paid off in the long run.

Going into tonight, the Clippers are up a win and ready to decimate one of the worst teams in the NBA. To make things even sweeter, the Hornets will be down their forward Jason Smith along with Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon. Join 1-800LoanMart and cheer for the Clippers tonight!

This trip to New Orleans marked the first time Chris Paul was back at the New Orleans Arena where he spent six seasons as a Hornet. While the Hornets did not go easy on the Clippers, Paul was welcomed back with a video played during the game commemorating his time with the team. Paul was also able to reconnect with the kids from his CP3 Afterschool Zone program that provides children between Kindergarten and third grade with the opportunity to explore their interests in a nurturing, fun environment. CP3 hosted 133 kids from the program along with 20 staff members.

Paul gave it his all during the game and managed to put 16 points up on the board while getting nine assists despite a great deal of foul trouble in the game. Griffin was fouled himself by Hornets forward Jason Smith who ejected from the game because of the incident. Elsewhere, Mo Williams suffered some sort of injury to his left big toe; x-rays performed during the game came back negative.

On Saturday, the Clippers will be facing off against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are also playing off a loss, so this could be a good opportunity for the Clippers to use that home team advantage and get a win. Blake Griffin helped Lob City score 31 points in the first quarter, he totaled 23 points total for the game, but had trouble keeping up the intensity. Chris Paul was having no trouble finding shooters, but the shooters were having plenty of trouble finding the basket.

The same held true when the Clippers played the Oklahoma City Thunder the next day. Griffin only had seven points, his lowest scoring game this season, and the Clippers lost it 91-114. The Thunder are at the top of the Pacific Division for the moment, which probably won’t be for too much longer based on how this season is going, and the Clippers just didn’t have the energy to keep up the intensity throughout the game. Kevin Durant is a beast and 1-800LoanMart’s official partners couldn’t get by him this game.

Tonight’s game looks like it will have a much more positive outlook for the Clippers. The Hornets have a terrible record for the season and shouldn’t be any trouble for Lob City. 1-800LoanMart hopes everyone can watch the game tonight!

1-800LoanMart Reviews Weekend Clippers Wins and Previews Road Trip

1-800LoanMart was ecstatic that we got to spend our St. Patrick’s Day rooting for the Los Angeles Clippers. The big surprise Saturday was that Chauncey Billups was there to root for his fellow teammates. Billups has been out of commission since February after suffering an Achilles tendon tear. He started undergoing rehab this past week and should be able to rejoin his team next season if all goes well. 1-800LoanMart is rooting for you, Chauncey!

Fortunately for 1-800LoanMart, our Saturday title loans customers were not too rowdy, thought we got super rowdy rooting for the Clippers against the Houston Rockets. The Clippers have been having a hard time lately at home, but they’ve never had much of a problem with the Rockets so it was an easy win that boosted the team’s morale. After a post-loss team meeting on Thursday, Chris Paul was on fire out on the court and caused all sorts of trouble in the last quarter. Clippers finished this outing 91-95.

In what was almost a carbon-copy performance, Chris Paul again was a beast on the court. Blake Griffin got 17 points on the board in the midst of dealing with two very large Pistons’ defenders, Jason Maxiell and Ben Wallace, but Chris Paul again finished the Clippers’ opposition in overtime. Clippers finished with 87 points to the Pistons’ 83. The Clippers are just one step closer to the playoffs!

While Mo Williams wasn’t delivering on Sunday, the Clippers new shooting guard Nick Young managed to pull out 9 points despite not knowing virtually any Lob City strategy or having the chance to practice with his new teammates. But that’s what kind of season this is and he’s going to have to pick it up on the fly it seems. The Clippers are playing three away games in a row this week, so let’s hope they can get everyone in the gym tonight for a light practice before the insanity. 1-800LoanMart will be helping title loans customers and cheering for Lob City all week!

This past Wednesday, the Clippers pulled out an easy win against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks had the potential to give the Clippers a lot of trouble, they’ve beaten the Clippers in their last four games together, but they just didn’t have the energy to face Lob City. The Clippers offense was in top form led by Mo Williams who had the game-high point total with 25 on 9-of-18 shooting. The Clippers didn’t even need All-Star Blake Griffin and he got to spend a large portion of the game taking a well-deserved rest.

Thursday was a bit of an odd game for the Clippers. They dominated the Phoenix Suns during the first three quarters, but could only get 12 points through in the last quarter while the Suns rallied with 27 points to take the game. Blake Griffin was back in action with 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists, though it wasn’t enough to carry them through the last quarter.

Today the Clippers will be playing the Houston Rockets and tomorrow they’ve got another one against the Detroit Pistons. Another big piece of Clippers news: the team has traded Brian Cook for Wizards’ shooting guard Nick Young. Young will be a tremendous asset to the team’s offense and defense and 1-800LoanMart can’t wait to see him in action!
